Message from the Teacher-in-Charge

Dear Students, Friends, and Partners, Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at Calcutta Institute of Technology.

Civil engineering is the foundation of our world. From designing strong buildings to planning smart cities, it is a profession that directly builds our future. As the Teacher-in-Charge, my main goal is to give our students a high-quality education that mixes classroom learning with real-world industry skills.

The construction world is changing fast. Because of this, we focus heavily on practical training, modern design tools, and teamwork. We also encourage our students to think about the environment by using sustainable materials and ethical engineering practices.

Our graduates are well-trained, confident, and ready to face real industry challenges or move on to higher studies. Whether you are a student starting your career or an industry partner looking to collaborate, we welcome you to join us in building a better, safer world.

ALINDA DEY, PhD Teacher-in-Charge (TIC), Department of Civil Engineering
